Do you go to Jam nights and think, “I want to get up there!” but you don’t really have the confidence or knowledge to play with the other musicians? We can teach you how. Learn performance techniques, build confidence playing in front of people, play with other musicians and a weekly host band, and develop a basic understanding of music theory in this inviting and non-intimidating environment. Join Tony Moser, a local musician with over 30 year of experience each week to work through the theory, techniques, and etiquette behind jamming so you can get up on stage!
Sessions include introduction to the jam, leading a jam, jazz/blues night, and open mic – favourite or original music. During these sessions you will master: the “Rules of the Jam", communication and listening, music theory, performance techniques – microphone usage, instrument tuning, and song selection and preparedness.
These sessions are open to all musicians, singers and instrumentalists, including guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, strings, horns, or any combination of the above. Participants should be prepared to comfortably play 2-3 simple tunes.
Tony Moser is a local musician with over 30 year of experience and a Diploma of Recording from the TREBAS Institute of Recording Arts.
