Learn wax based painting techniques!

Join artist Kylie Millar as she teaches the art of encaustic wax painting. Paired with Art Lab: Pyrography (March 22), the ancient technique of wood burning, create a beautiful work of art to take home. These classes can be taken independently to learn each artistic technique, or as a series for a chance to combine the two and build upon your artwork. Kylie will demonstrate various ways to create a mixed media piece and allow time for participants to experiment with different lines, textures, shading, and layering.

You will explore possibilities such as: collage with wax, image incorporation, and layering with other media to create your own take-home masterpiece.
