This two-day workshop taps into the endless possibilities of the world of abstraction . Moving through different methods including; the tradition of decoding subject matter and learning to take the work back to basics; emotional response, where the canvas becomes the arena and the artist engages the whole body to paint; and lyrical abstration  where the materials themselves allow for exploring the expansive language of acrylic paint.

Supplies will not be provided.

Students will be emailed a list of requirements when registration is received.


The Alta Lake Station House is located 4 kms south of Whistler Village and is accessible by car, bike or foot. Parking is at Wayside Park, not adjacent to the venue and requires a short walk to the location along a paved trail. The venue is equipped with a full service kitchen, complete with stove and refrigerator.
